Also to add there is a tip pool so what they get is more than what is shown. If the cost of cruises has to go up because their salaries go up then of course cruisers will pay a lot more. Right now, I think they’re doing pretty good. Don’t forget these are prized jobs for many countries. There has to be a reason.B

Don’t forget a few things. It may seem low and in some cases it is but first of all, there are no expenses. Secondly, at see as I have talked to several crewmembers about this there are no taxes. And don’t forget many people working on the ships come from Third World countries where that amount of money means a lot more than it does here. I sent my brother-in-law in India $100 per month and he actually does OK with that. There are some cases where people listed in this salary range are making 70 or $80,000 per year and again no taxes and no expenses. That’s better than people making that much money in the United States have to pay taxes and have to have a multitude of expenses.

I sailed on QM2 a few years ago; this November I will sail on Queen Anne. Then I can compare. No judging the book by its over. As far as looks, QE2 was the prettiest, but... accommodations were not too impressive.

Sorry Cunard I know you are part of Carnival but you have got it totally wrong. She looks like a barge with a housing complex dumped on top of it. She has none of the Grace or Elegance associated with a Cunard Queen, if you’re going to spend millions on a ship build more like the Queen Mary 2 and the QE2. What’s next waterslides and go carts and dinner in shorts and flip flops. Sorry but long live Queen Mary 2

I agree with other comments It looks like all the new ships now floating blocks of flats. It doesn’t have any of the elegance of Cunard especially the QM2. Sorry Cunard all that is missing is the waterslide on top
